Pulse is a newsroom with no reporters in the field and a very specific job: watch what the world is already talking about, decide which of those stories actually matter, and write original analysis a reader cannot get from the wire copy.

The site is published at pulse.z-rex.net. English is the default edition. Chinese and Spanish editions are translations of the same desk.

How a story gets here

1. We pull public RSS feeds — currently Google News topic wires — and keep the headline, summary, publisher, and link.
2. A large language model scores each item for heat: novelty, second-order consequences, and whether a curious reader would open it today. Most items are dropped.
3. For the ones that pass, a headless Chromium session opens the source page and we extract the article body.
4. The model writes a long-form piece with a stated angle: title, summary, tags, and a body that is commentary, not a paraphrase.
5. That piece is translated into the other editions we publish.

Pulse does not interview sources. It does not break news. Every article is AI-assisted analysis grounded in publicly reported facts, and every article links back to the reporting it started from. If a fact is uncertain in the source, the piece should say so.

What we will not do

We will not invent quotes, numbers, or events. We will not strip a publisher's work and republish it as ours. We will not chase every trending topic — only the ones that still have something left to say.
