Privacy

Pulse is a reading site. We do not run a social login, and we do not sell personal data. This page describes what we collect and which third parties may set cookies on your device.

What we collect

The web server keeps ordinary access logs: IP address, user agent, requested path, and timestamp. These logs exist so we can keep the site up and investigate abuse. They are not used to build a profile of you.

We count article views as an aggregate number. That counter is not tied to a person.

Cookies

The public site does not set first-party tracking cookies for advertising. A language you pick lives in the URL, not in a cookie. The admin desk, which is not part of the public site, uses HTTP basic authentication.

Third parties

Articles may include a cover image hosted by the original publisher. Your browser requests that image directly.

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic: page views, approximate geography, and device type. Google may set its own cookies for this.

We use Adsterra to show display advertising (banners, native units, and related formats). Adsterra and its partners may set cookies, load scripts, and open ad iframes. We do not control what those partners collect; see Adsterra's privacy policy for details.

If you use an ad blocker, Pulse may ask you to disable it before reading, because advertising helps fund the site.

The newsroom pipeline uses third-party RSS feeds, a language-model API, and a self-hosted Chromium service. Those systems process public news URLs and article text. They do not process your personal account — you do not have one.
